Meet Chef Jenné Claiborne & Her Vegan Holiday Meal
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone with more love (and recipes) for vegetables than Jenné Claiborne. Chef, blogger, author of “Sweet Potato Soul: 100 Easy Vegan Recipes” and YouTuber rolled into one, Jenné has established a huge following by making the vegan lifestyle accessible through her personal anecdotes and easy, delicious recipes.
Jenné was inspired to go vegan eight years ago while working at a vegan restaurant. She picked up a copy of “The Veganist,” and the rest was history. Her approachability and effortless attitude translate into her cooking, breaking down the stereotype that you need meat to have a filling, flavorful meal. Jenné says it’s not about the meat — it’s about bringing out the richness of vegan ingredients. We’re talking simple dishes that really nail comfort, nostalgia and big, bold flavors.
For Thanksgiving, we’ve teamed up with Jenné to come up with recipes that’ll leave your guests asking for seconds, no matter their diet. “I love color, brightness and all of that, so this is the perfect collaboration. Adding fresh vegetables as garnish or part of the meal will make it a lot brighter, prettier and more nutritious, too,” she says. You can find a mix of comforting flavors and colors in Chef Jenné’s vegan creations — all of which will transport you to a warm, Southern kitchen table.
